Spanning over 80 works including prints, drawings, copperplates, and archives, the exhibition traces his artistic evolution from his student years at the Ontario College of Art to his final drawing. His prints are both personal visions and national icons, evoking endurance, loss, and faith.
 Organized by the Art Gallery of Ontario, this exhibition celebrates a life spent transforming maritime folklore into timeless art. About the Artist Born in Wesleyville, Newfoundland, David Blackwood studied at the Ontario College of Art under John Alfsen and Carl Schaefer. His works, infused with myth and memory, vividly depict maritime life and folklore. Recognized as one of Canada’s most important printmakers, his legacy endures in national collections and the archives of the Art Gallery of Ontario
