Service Description

Exhibition Dates: April 25, 2026 – May 24, 2026 Venue: Shanghai Art Museum (China Art Museum) Address: 205 Shangnan Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai, China Exhibition Overview: Using jewelry as its medium, ”Radiant 56 — Ethnic Art Jewelry Exhibition“ makes its debut in Shanghai, celebrating the beauty of cultural integration within the Chinese nation. Inspired by the symbols, aesthetic traditions, and spiritual imagery of China’s 56 ethnic groups, the exhibition expresses the charm of Chinese civilization as a diverse yet unified whole through contemporary jewelry design. The exhibition presents a series of jewelry works that combine traditional craftsmanship with modern design concepts. Gold, Hetian jade, jadeite, opal, turquoise, pearls, and colored gemstones are reimagined through narratives of ethnic heritage, allowing each piece to serve not only as adornment, but also as an object of cultural expression and collectible value. For jewelry collectors, this is both a visual highlight and an opportunity to observe key directions in contemporary Chinese jewelry design. A distinctive feature of the exhibition is its reinterpretation of traditional culture through modern design language. Han-inspired works reflect auspicious symbolism and classical refinement; Mongolian-inspired pieces evoke the strength and freedom of the grasslands; Tibetan-inspired designs convey spirituality and sacred landscapes; while Miao-inspired works continue the legacy of silver adornment traditions. Through jewelry, the exhibition presents a broader story of cultural exchange and shared development. The lead artist, Guo Xiangying, is a Taiwan entrepreneur based in Shanghai and a graduate of National Cheng Kung University. She has long engaged with Chinese aesthetics and brand innovation. In recent years, she has focused on “Huafeng Fashion” jewelry creation, applying heritage goldsmithing techniques while combining traditional forms with contemporary jewelry structures. Her style merges Eastern elegance with an international sensibility. For collectors, the exhibition is especially notable for transforming cultural identity into collectible jewelry design. It is not only an art presentation, but also a reflection of future trends in the Asian jewelry market. Visitor Notes: - Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Closed every Monday. - Please note that OGP may organize a group visit for members and enthusiasts, subject to final arrangements.
