Service Description
The Maoma Warehouse in Yangpu District hosted the 15th Shanghai International Photography Art Exhibition. It was the first large-scale international photography art exhibition in China, and it is now one of the most influential. The biennial exhibition, organised by the Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Shanghai Photographers Association, began in 1986 with the theme "Future Meets the Shanghai View" and aims to show what photography brings to life and how it will develop in the future. Over 400 works, including 10 videos and outdoor installations, by 54 domestic and international artists are on display, chosen from nearly 3,500 works by 240 artists. Academic seminars and lectures, a bazaar, and cultural performances will all take place during the event. The 5th Shanghai Youth Photography Art Exhibition opened at the same location, featuring images from 20 photographers chosen by the organisers.
